OUR SCHOOL: Just as one size does not fit all, neither does one type of educational approach work for all families. The Galileo Charter School of Richmond opened for grades K-3 this fall and will expand one grade level each year in the future. We are a learning community composed of parents/caregivers, children, and teachers working together for the best educational outcome. Through multi-age classrooms and individualized learning plans, children are truly supported in becoming self-directed learners. Using technology, daily progress of children is measured and analyzed to make sure that each student masters skills in sequence. Literacy, character development, and self-esteem are the cornerstones of our school.
EXPECTATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.A. / B.S. or higher from an accredited institution and current Indiana teacher certification.
